Ban Horse Drawn Carriages

The tourist industry in NYC has come under the spotlight in regards to horse drawn carriages. Some say the carriages are quaint and what would NYC be like without them? The drivers agree. ROAR! interviews a driver who loves his job as well as Elizabeth Forel, director of the Coalition to Ban Horse-Drawn Carriages (http://www.banhdc.org/). A behind the scenes look reveals tremendous suffering for (and deaths of) horses and potentially the same for pedestrians and drivers as well. Many cities around the world have banned this cruelty and substituted pedi-cabs. Ought not NYC follow their lead?
